From grandfather's recipes from dusty drawers, to today's far-famed wines.
In the Ivanović winery you can taste all the wines we produce, always with food prepared "with soul".
The wine you drink carries within it the story of the land from which the vine springs, the sun that shines on the grains, the climate that gives it its scent, and the hand of man that gives it its taste. The wines we present are native to Župa, small valley bordered on the north by the slopes of Goč, on the south by Kopaonik, and on the west by the protector of the entire Župa, Željin mountain.
The production of grapes and wine began with the arrival of the Romans in this area, and the first Serbian testimonies about the production of wine in Župa can be found in the Charter of Stefan Nemanja from the 12th century, in which he donated Župa cellars and vineyards to the Studenica monastery.
Wine has an unusual power to unite people. Thus, in a strange game of fate, love for wine and tradition, in 2002, connected three friends from France and Italy (Emmanuel Koenig, Cyrille Bongiraud and Lorenzo Maini) and one Serb (Dragoslav Gaga Ivanović) in an effort to combine the famous Burgundian wine culture with what has been nurtured in Župa for centuries. The result is wine production with minimal interference in natural processes during grape processing and fermentation.
Wines obtained in a truly traditional way carry all the love and attention invested during creation and maturation.
